– The idea of lurking evil, a physical being, or a force, that is an adversary of God, and to what is good, can be found throughout history, back to pre-Christian times and likely even further. It is a dark consciousness that wants nothing more than to see our downfall. In countless religious texts, in so many different belief systems, this thing is there. Whether it’s a multi-headed dragon, a serpent, a beautiful winged humanoid, a primordial desert demon, or an unyielding dark force, the devil has been, and will continue to be, the tireless corrupter of man.
